7 months

Spencer is growing so quick!  Each week I feel like I have a new baby because he has so many new tricks and skills.

Highlights from this month:
-he has gone from tasting food to really getting into it
-he has been sleeping through the night for almost two weeks now... big game changer for me :)
-he sits! like I can walk away and not even worry that he is going to face plant
-he has been reaching his arms up when we got to get him out of the car seat, and I love it!

Spencer loves:
-pictures of our family.  I just put up a collage of mostly spencer, Brian and I and we look at it before nap. He just loves looking at it and you can see him really spending time on each picture
-honey grahams
-when dad comes home!  He can be totally bored and whining, but as soon as dad comes home spencer is nothing but smiles and fake coughs (we thinks is how he laughs) and real giggles
-to do anything with dad
-being outside

wanting to be just like dad

story time

sitting!

this is the fact he makes when he actually tastes something

he still loves the camelbak

he's super curious when we are in the kitchen and the only way to appease him is by putting the booster seat on the counter, or wearing him facing out in the moby

Brian is starting a run of hard (as in time demanding) rotations, that are going to last until Christmas.  We both set some goals to help us stay focused and on track.  I have to say there is something about us that sort of likes "hard" things.  It really does seem like we both perform better and are happier when we are stretched.  The talk Elder David A. Bednar gave last conference comes to mind (Bear Up Their Burdens with Ease).

Oh, also this month Brian and I got to go to the temple for the first time since Spencer was born.  It was such a treat and we are thankful for good friends we love and trust with our precious boy.  It was so nice to get back and see him smiling :)
