I decided Christmas deserved its' own post because it was at least a couple months of fun packed in to a few weeks. Spencer hadn't been home to MA in 6 months, so this visit was quite a bit different from the last time.
- He loved crawling! He had hardly crawled before we got there, but he just took off all over during Christmas.
- He loved playing with the dog, Roxy. Unfortunatley Spencer's love for the dog was not reciprocated, but Roxy was a good sport and would at least let Spencer get close and touch her a few times before moving. Anytime Spencer saw her he would get tense and serious and make this gutteral breathing noise. Toward the end of our visit he even started saying "dawg" in a very stacato soft tone.
- He loved all the new people! At first he was a little timid and would cry anytime I left the room, but by the end Grandma was bathing him, feeding him and teaching him to play peekaboo! He loved meeting everyone and has definitely missed all the fun since coming home.
| I wish Spencer could always just wear a diaper. Isn't he so cute! |
Eric, Lauren, Wes and Jenae were kind enough to drive up and see us before heading out the next morning on a plane.

Spencer was a number one fan at the Celtics game. He was very keyed in, though we do think he was mainly watching the TV that shows the game (this kid loves the TV).
In these two shots you can really see his intensity. :)
And we went up to Maine where I went to Mother's Beach for the first time as a real mom! It is kind of surreal. In my mind's eye I could see my 14 year old self running by Mother's Beach as I often would during summers in Maine. At that point in time it seemed so far off in my future that I would have my own kiddo, but looking back it seems like just yesterday.
